The Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital (BIDSH) is proud to announce a significant academic milestone achieved by our postgraduate students on the national stage.
On August 13th and 14th, the Department of Periodontology and Implantology was represented at PERIO ANVESHAN 2026, a highly competitive all-India online Perio Quiz organized by Vishnu Dental College. We are thrilled to report that our second-year postgraduate students—Dr. Aastha, Dr. Akshita, and Dr. Arya—demonstrated outstanding clinical knowledge and exceptional academic preparation to secure the Second Prize overall.
The online competition was a rigorous test of expertise, featuring participation from 58 prestigious dental institutions across the country. Earning the silver position in such a vast and competitive national pool is a testament to the hard work of our students and the high standards of education fostered within our department.
The management, faculty, and staff of the Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital extend their heartiest congratulations to Dr. Aastha, Dr. Akshita, and Dr. Arya for bringing laurels to the institution. We commend their dedication and wish them continued success in their academic and professional endeavors.
Kriti Prakash Secures Second Rank at National Dental Students’ Day 2026
Kriti Prakash, a second-year student of Buddha Institute of Dental Sciences & Hospital, represented the institute at the inaugural National Dental Students’ Day 2026, organised by the Indian Association of Dental Students (IADS). Kriti secured second rank in the Dental Imposter Competition among more than 400 participating students nationwide. Congratulations on this achievement!
Mind Matters at the 47th ISPPD National Conference
We are elated to share the success of “Mind Matters,” a pre-conference course held during the 47th National Conference of the Indian Society of Pediatric Dentistry (ISPPD). The programme highlighted an often overlooked subject: the psychological well-being of pediatric dentists.
The course was envisioned and spearheaded by Dr. Chitrita Gupta Mukherjee (Professor and Head, BIDSH, Patna), together with Dr. Mridula Goswami (Professor and Head, MAIDS, New Delhi) and Dr. Swati Singh (Reader, BIDSH, Patna). Enthusiastic participation and appreciation from delegates and senior members reflected the relevance of this initiative.

Dr. Shiven Honoured at the ISPPD Conference
Our intern, Dr. Shiven, secured the highest marks in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry in his final-year university examination. He received a prize from ISPPD at the conference held at MAIDS, New Delhi. We congratulate him on this academic achievement.
